While Jacob & Co. has never been a brand that shied away from making a statement, the collaboration with New York streetwear institution Supreme represents one of the more culturally significant partnerships the brand has undertaken. Released as part of Supreme's Fall/Winter 2020 collection, the Four Timezone watch that we have here brings together two brands that have built their respective reputations on the idea that desirability and exclusivity are inseparable, and the result is a timepiece that is as much a cultural artefact as it is a watch. Boasting a 40mm stainless steel case, the watch features Jacob & Co.'s signature four timezone display, indicating the time simultaneously across New York, Paris, Tokyo, and a central home timezone via three quadrant subdials on a lacquered dial with the Supreme box logo inlaid at 2 o’clock. The interchangeable bezel is set with 52 brilliant-cut white diamonds totalling approximately 2.08 carats, adding a layer of jewellery-house extravagance to what is already a boldly conceived piece. Inspired by Jacob & Co.’s original Four Timezone watch that launched the brand to stardom in the early 2000s, this timepiece is imbued with a New York City sense of style and substance that you can’t really find elsewhere in the world of horology.
