Introduction
Jaeger-LeCoultre's relationship with Aston Martin began in 2004, bringing together two manufactures with longstanding reputations for mechanical engineering and performance. The first watch to emerge from the partnership was the AMVOX1, a contemporary interpretation of Jaeger-LeCoultre's historic Memovox alarm watches that combined one of the manufacture's signature complications with design cues drawn directly from Aston Martin instrumentation.
Introduced in 2005, the titanium AMVOX1 R-Alarm ref. 190.T.97 was produced as a limited edition of 1,000 pieces. Its 42mm case houses the automatic calibre 918, combining central seconds and date with a mechanical alarm sounded on a gong. The grey dial takes inspiration from vintage automotive instruments, with large luminous Arabic numerals, an inner rotating alarm indication and an outer rotating 1/5th-second scale. Two crowns independently control the alarm and conventional timekeeping functions, while the solid case back carries the Aston Martin emblem. This example is number 927 of 1,000.

THE DIAL
Inspired by Aston Martin dashboard instrumentation, the grey dial combines oversized luminous Arabic numerals with central seconds and a date aperture at 3 o'clock. An inner rotating indication allows the mechanical alarm to be set, while the outer rotating 1/5th-second scale adds another distinctly automotive element to the display.
THE CONSTRUCTION
The lightweight 42mm titanium case is fitted with separate crowns at 2 and 4 o'clock, the former controlling the alarm while the latter handles conventional time and date setting. The solid screw-down case back is prominently decorated with the Aston Martin emblem and identifies this example as number 927 of the 1,000-piece titanium edition.

Condition
Watch is in overall excellent condition. The titanium case shows a few small nicks along the edges and some light surface scuffs. The three crowns have light surface marks but remain in excellent condition. The case back has some surface marks and scuffs while retaining very well-defined engravings. The dial and hands are in near-mint condition. It is fitted with a black rally-style leather strap and a Jaeger-LeCoultre titanium deployant clasp showing light surface marks. Comes with the inner and outer boxes, guarantee papers, booklet, and 2026 service paperwork.
Our Perspective
The AMVOX1 marked the beginning of one of the more interesting automotive collaborations in modern watchmaking, but importantly it remained a thoroughly Jaeger-LeCoultre watch beneath the Aston Martin branding. Combining the manufacture's historic mechanical alarm complication with a lightweight titanium case and dashboard-inspired display, the ref. 190.T.97 offers considerable mechanical interest and distinctive early-2000s design.
