Introduction

First debuting in 1992, the Jaeger LeCoultre Master collection is a vintage-inspired family of timepieces rooted to the 1950s aesthetic of old with elegant dials, refined constructions and brilliantly executed movements – all benchmarks of JLC’s talents as a watchmaker. Offered here we have the Master Geographic, an offering from within that Master collection that includes a world-time function that gives plenty of utility to its wearer. Boasting a 39mm 18kt rose gold case and a silver dial with recessed subdials for its power reserve indicator, its pointer date and its second time zone and AM/PM indicator that both correspond to the city highlighted in the aperture at 6 o'clock, the Master Geographic showcases JLC’s dedication to finely finishing their timepieces from the inside out. Powered by the automatic cal. 939 movement that is on display behind an exhibition caseback, the Master Geographic reinforces the idea that JLC are the “Watchmaker’s watchmaker” with its exquisite attention-to-detail and stunning good looks.

Condition

Watch is in near-mint condition. Minor signs of wear are evident, including some light marks along the bezel. Watch is currently on a Camille Fournet strap in used condition. The original strap is also included on the side, also in used condition.

Please Note: Due to CITES considerations, if the watch is to be shipped outside of the USA, the exotic skin strap will have to be removed.

Our Perspective

A classically-inspired watch that remains understated on the wrist yet technically and aesthetically impressive, the Master Geographic is a horological masterclass as it perfectly infuses heritage-inspired design with high-level modern watchmaking.
