Boasting a stunning, yet simple, silver dial and a stainless steel case that comes in at a perfectly wearable, and rather modern, 39mm diameter, this timepiece has everything one would want from JLC, the “watchmaker’s watchmaker.” Boasting sharp dauphine hands along with applied dagger-shaped indices, and a moon phase indicator at 6 o’clock as its name suggests, the ref. Q1368420’s display is reserved, restrained and entirely traditional, as per its mid-century dress watch inspiration. Sporting a flat bezel, gently curving lugs, and just a single crown, the Master Ultra-Thin Moon is a wonderfully wearable watch that speaks to the collection’s original source of inspiration, the 1950s and JLC’s important contribution to watchmaking while also celebrating JLC’s impressive craftsmanship through its manual-wind cal. 925/1 movement that allows the ref. The stainless steel case is in excellent condition, with a few light scratches, but the case edges remain sharp and well-defined. The steel outer edge of the display case back has well-defined engravings, with some light wear to the screw heads and minor scratches. The dial shows no signs of aging, and the no-lume hands are very clean. The watch is fitted with a DeLugs strap and a stainless steel JLC deployant clasp, both in excellent condition. The watch comes complete with its original boxes, guarantee, manuals, and setting tool.
