Introduction
Kollokium is deliberately difficult to categorise. Founded by Manuel Emch, designer Barth Nussbaumer and collector and consultant Amr Sindi, better known as The Horophile, the project approaches watches as exercises in industrial design rather than traditional watchmaking. Its debut Projekt 01 established that philosophy through a raw, die-cast steel case, an unusual glass-box sapphire crystal and, most memorably, a dial constructed from hundreds of individually applied pins. Variant G, introduced in 2025 as the sixth iteration of Projekt 01, retains that neo-Brutalist architecture but introduces a considerably lighter and more colourful character.
This is the Variant G1, distinguished by its PVD blue hour and minute hands with blue Super-LumiNova centres and contrasting white seconds hand. Beneath them, 468 individual steel pins in six different widths and heights are hand-applied to a luminous light blue dial base, then treated in deep navy blue PVD with their hollow tips filled with blue-emission luminous material. The result transforms the Projekt 01's familiar three-dimensional dial into something brighter and surprisingly legible without sacrificing its unconventional construction. Variant G was produced in a combined edition of 499 pieces across the G1 and alternative G2 handset configurations.

THE DIAL
The light blue dial is constructed from 468 individually applied steel pins in six different widths and heights. Finished in contrasting navy blue PVD, their hollow tips are filled with blue-emission Super-LumiNova. The G1 configuration adds PVD blue hour and minute hands with luminous centres and a contrasting white seconds hand, creating one of the more legible Projekt 01 executions.

THE CONSTRUCTION
The 40mm two-part steel case is produced using die casting, giving it the deliberately raw character central to Kollokium's neo-Brutalist aesthetic. A cylindrical sapphire glass box exposes the three-dimensional dial from multiple angles, while the distinctive lugs take inspiration from cruciform screwdriver heads. The solid steel case back is secured by screws, with water resistance rated to 50 metres.

TIMING MACHINE READOUT
This reading was taken (crown down) with a ONEOF Accuracy Boutique Edition timing machine at time of cataloging. It is provided as a courtesy only, and shall not be construed as a warranty or guarantee of any kind. Please refer to our terms and conditions of sale for more information.
Condition
Watch is in overall near-mint condition. The case shows only light signs of wear. There is, however, a small chip on the edge of the crystal at around the 58 min marker. Comes complete with presentation box with attached warranty.
Our Perspective
Projekt 01 has always been more interesting as an exercise in manufacturing and industrial design than as a conventional watch, and Variant G1 pushes that idea in an unexpected direction. The lighter palette makes its extraordinary 468-pin dial architecture easier to appreciate while retaining the raw die-cast case and deliberately unconventional construction that define Kollokium. With G1 distinguished by its blue handset, it is a particularly coherent expression of the Projekt 01 concept.
