Founded by Amr Sindi, Barth Nussbaumer and Manuel Emch, Kollokium has quickly established itself as one of independent watchmaking's most exciting young brands. Rather than drawing inspiration from traditional horology, the trio has focused on creating genuinely original designs that blur the line between industrial design, architecture and contemporary art. Following the overwhelming success of the friends-and-family-only Projekt 01, Kollokium unveiled the Projekt 02, further cementing its reputation as one of the industry's most innovative new voices.
Limited to just 299 pieces, the Projekt 02 Variant B pushes conventional dial design into entirely new territory. Built using 67 individually constructed topographical layers, each hand-painted in nine shades of grey-to-black lacquer and filled with blue-emission Super-LumiNova, the dial creates the illusion of a miniature landscape viewed from above. Housed within a distinctive die-cast stainless steel case and differentiated by its fluorescent yellow central seconds hand, the Projekt 02 demonstrates that independent watchmaking continues to thrive through originality rather than tradition.

THE DIAL
Unlike anything else in contemporary watchmaking, the Projekt 02's dial is constructed from 67 individually assembled topographical layers, each hand-painted using nine shades of grey-to-black lacquer and filled with blue-emission Super-LumiNova. Designed to resemble a hypsometric landscape map, its raised hour markers emerge like mountain peaks above a dramatic landscape of ridges and valleys.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Crafted from die-cast stainless steel, the Projekt 02's two-piece case features sharply faceted lugs, a stepped mid-case and a distinctive textured finish that echoes the industrial character of the dial. The fluorescent yellow central seconds hand identifies this example as the sought-after Variant B.
