Founded by German independent watchmaker Stefan Kudoke, Kudoke has quickly established itself as one of the most respected names in contemporary independent horology. A member of the AHCI (Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants), Kudoke combines traditional German craftsmanship with distinctive design, earning international recognition in 2019 when the Kudoke 2 won the Petite Aiguille prize at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG). Built around the beautifully hand-finished Kaliber 1 movement, the Kudoke 2 has become the brand's signature model, celebrated for its elegant proportions and distinctive hand-engraved day/night display.
Limited to just ten examples, the Grüner Wald Special Edition was created in collaboration with EsperLuxe and takes its name from the forests of Saxony, home to Kudoke's workshop. Distinguished by its richly frosted green dial and entirely hand-engraved movement, this edition elevates the already exceptional Kudoke 2 with bespoke finishing by Stefan Kudoke himself. Combining artisanal hand engraving, restrained German design and genuine rarity, it is one of the most desirable versions of the award-winning Kudoke 2.

THE DIAL
The Grüner Wald's frosted green dial draws inspiration from the forests surrounding Kudoke's Saxony workshop. Framed by a rhodium-plated chapter ring with Roman numeral quarters, the dial is crowned by the brand's beautifully hand-engraved day/night indicator, while polished steel hands, including Kudoke's signature infinity-shaped hour hand, reinforce its distinctive identity.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Housed within the familiar 39mm polished stainless steel case, the Grüner Wald remains elegant and understated on the wrist. Visible through the sapphire caseback is the hand-wound Kaliber 1-24H, developed with Habring² and, uniquely for this edition, entirely hand engraved by Stefan Kudoke with intricate floral motifs, a hand-finished balance bridge and bespoke EsperLuxe details.
