Founded by Stefan Kudoke, Kudoke is a German independent watchmaker famed for their stunningly executed, competitively priced timepieces and for having won 2020’s GPHG “Petite Aiguille” award. Launched in late 2020 and inspired by the night sky, as its name suggests, the Nocturne features a beautifully finished stainless steel case and a frosted grey anthracite dial with a beautifully intricate hand-engraved AM/PM indicator at 12 o’clock. With a silver chapter ring along the dial’s periphery and along the AM/PM indicator, the Nocturne’s monochromatic aesthetic is stunning. Of course, like most of Kudoke’s work, the Nocturne’s piece de resistance is its manual-wind in-house cal. 1-24H movement, which is proudly on display behind its sapphire crystal caseback. Hand-finished to a high standard, the Nocturne demonstrates just how good value Kudoke’s timepieces are - considering the level of care and meticulous attention paid to its surfaces.
