Founded as a microbrand watchmaker that focuses on producing small scale limited edition timepieces, Laventure have grown from their humble beginnings in 2017 as just another project on Kickstarter into a popular independent watchmaker who now has a handful of releases under its belt that are all becoming more and more popular than the last. Offered here we have Laventure’s Marine Type 3, which was launched in 2025 as a limited edition of 100 pieces per year across two variants. With round curves, rounded rectangles and soft lines that make for an appealing aesthetic on the wrist, its 38mm grade 23 titanium tonneau-shaped construction is indeed well executed as it combines a 1980s-inspired aesthetic design language with the functionality of marine chronometers. However, the Marine Type 3’s entirely luminous white dial is perhaps the star of the show with its array of markings that build on one another to create a display that makes the time no secret, as per the functionality of its marine chronometer inspiration. Boasting a dark case construction and a green rubber strap, the resulting design is unique and wonderfully executed for such a young watchmaker.
