Introduction
Few contemporary designers have left as distinctive a mark on watchmaking as Alain Silberstein. Since the late 1980s, his playful use of geometric forms, primary colours and Bauhaus-inspired design has challenged traditional notions of luxury watchmaking, proving that serious horology can also possess humour and personality. Louis Erard, meanwhile, has established itself as one of the industry's most successful collaborators, partnering with leading independent watchmakers and designers to create limited editions that bring exceptional creativity to an accessible audience.
Released in 2021 as part of Le Triptyque, the second collaboration between Louis Erard and Alain Silberstein, the La Semaine was produced in a limited edition of just 178 pieces. Rather than simply applying Silberstein's familiar colours to an existing design, the watch was conceived as an entirely original creation. Its circular titanium case is framed by polished side brancards, while the matte black dial provides the perfect canvas for Silberstein's unmistakable visual language. Most charming of all is the day display, where each day is represented by a different expressive face, gradually changing mood as the week progresses towards the weekend. It is a wonderfully imaginative interpretation of one of watchmaking's most familiar complications, demonstrating that technical functionality and joyful design can coexist beautifully.

THE DIAL
The matte black dial serves as the ideal backdrop for Alain Silberstein's unmistakable design language. Bold geometric hands in primary colours are paired with an imaginative day display featuring seven expressive faces, while the date aperture at six o'clock provides a more traditional counterpoint.

THE CONSTRUCTION
The 40mm case combines a microblasted Grade 2 titanium central body with polished Grade 5 titanium brancards that frame the watch from top to bottom. The articulated strap attachment enhances comfort on the wrist while reinforcing the architectural character of the design.

Condition
Watch is in overall near-mint condition. The titanium case shows light signs of careful wear. The case back shows light wear to the screw heads. The dial and hands are like new. It is fitted with a black nylon strap and a titanium fastener showing light surface marks. Comes with the box, guarantee card and warranty card.
Our Perspective
The La Semaine perfectly captures what has made the Louis Erard and Alain Silberstein partnership so successful. Rather than producing another conventional limited edition, the collaboration celebrates individuality, colour and creativity without compromising quality or practicality. Limited to just 178 examples, it is a wonderfully refreshing reminder that some of the most memorable watches are those that never take themselves too seriously.
