Introduction
An exceptional timepiece powered by MB&F’s first-ever chronograph movement, the MB&F Sequential Evo, launched in 2022, follows on from the 2018 collaboration between MB&F and independent watchmaker Stephen McDonnell, whereby his perpetual calendar movement has featured in several of MB&F’s watches, one being their sports watch, the Perpetual Evo, launched in 2021, which the Sequential Evo follows on from. Perhaps one of the most impressive sports watches in all of watchmaking, this intensely innovative chronograph
timepiece combines contemporary aesthetics and traditional craftsmanship in such a way that is truly revolutionary, much like so many MB&F timepieces that have come before it. Combining two completely separate chronographs into the one movement, the Sequential Evo can be used to time separate events, laps and anything else one might imagine, as the two chronograph displays have all of their own parts. However, with the “Twinverter” pusher at 9 o’clock, both chronographs can be engaged with the press of a single button. Boasting an orange dial and a zirconium construction that is lighter than steel yet stronger than titanium, the Sequential Evo is a function sports watch given it sits on a rubber strap and comes with 80 meters of water resistance, ensuring that its owner can wear it however they see fit.

THE DIAL
With its orange dial providing a stunning burst of color to the LM Sequential Evo's display, the star of the show is its intricate mechanics, a lot of which are proudly on display as MB&F show off their hard work and Stephen McDonnell's ingeniously designed movement.

THE CONSTRUCTION
While its 44mm x 18.2mm zirconium construction sounds huge, the Sequential Evo is actually rather wearable within the context of MB&F's typically whacky designs with a conventionally circular case shape, thin flat bezel, traditional lug design and overall ergonomic shape.

Our Perspective
A watch filled with MB&F's intensely unique aesthetic and abundantly novel mechanical merriment, the LM Perpetual Evo showcases how MB&F can take a slightly more conservative design language than they are typically known for and make it entirely their own through the use of incredible engineering and Stephen McDonnell's talents as a watchmaker.
