Introduction
Inspired by Max Busser’s desire to create the watch he would've tried to create had he been born a 100 years before he was (and therefore lacked his modern design inspirations of Star Wars, Grendizers, or fighter jets), the Legacy Machine 1 has become symbolic of MB&F’s unique design language and unusual inspirations. With roundness and a domed crystal as his starting points, Max Busser took period-correct inspiration from Jules Verne, the Eiffel Tower, and pocket watches to create one of watchmaking’s most unusual timepieces and the blueprint from which the brand has built their modern design foundation. Featuring a futuristic movement with a flying balance wheel suspended over its dial, a vertical power reserve indicator, and two independent time displays, the LM1 retains MB&F’s forward-thinking nature, luxury-oriented design details, and fabulous finishing all in abundance.

THE DIAL
Featuring a large 14mm "flying" balance wheel, a one-of-a-kind vertical power reserve indicator at 6 o'clock, and two independent time-only dials capable of displaying separate timezones, the LM1's dial is a collection of the creative talents of its designers, providing it with a unique look and feel on the wrist.

THE MOVEMENT
The result of a collaboration (like all MB&F timepieces) between MB&F, and highly esteemed watchmakers Kari Voutilainen, and Jean François Mojon, the LM1's movement is wonderfully designed with exceptional craftsmanship and hand-finishing found throughout.

TIMING MACHINE READOUT
This reading was taken (crown down) with a ONEOF Accuracy Boutique Edition timing machine at time of cataloging. It is provided as a courtesy only, and shall not be construed as a warranty or guarantee of any kind. Please refer to our terms and conditions of sale for more information.
Condition
Overall condition of the watch is excellent to near-mint. Small surface scratches present, however it has not been previously polished. Strap and buckle show light signs of wear, although there has been some color transfer to the inside of the leather strap lining.
Please Note: Due to CITES considerations, if the watch is to be shipped outside of the USA, an alternative leather strap to the existing exotic version, shall be provided.
Our Perspective
Throwing traditional horological design to the side, the LM1 features MB&F textbook design language in spades. With its sizeable domed sapphire, flying balance wheel, and unique power reserve indicator, the LM1 proves that the beloved independent watchmaker's determination to be creative knows no bounds.
