Introduction
Bursting onto the scene in 2017, Ming has become one of the hottest watch brands in the world. Founded and fully funded by a group of 6 enthusiasts, Ming has built their business model on limited production ‘drops’ whereby it has quickly become the case that their watches sell out almost instantly, and become highly sought-after on the open market, much like this 19.01. Launched in 2019, and delivered in 2020, the Ming 19.01 features a “robust, distinctive, practical; subtle but layered and nuanced” construction as Ming puts it. Featuring MING’s signature use of Super LumiNova atop its raised chapter ring and Arabic numerals, the 19.01 sports a smoked sapphire dial that is visually intriguing and indicative of MING’s design language. Fading from a near-black blue at its center to fully transparent along its edges, the 19.01 showcases various pieces of its manual-wind cal. MSE100.1 movement that was made by Schwarz-Etienne for MING and commands 100 hours of power reserve. Made of titanium and featuring MING’s typical 38mm diameter and pagoda-style lugs, this timepiece is MING at their best.

THE DIAL
Blending its near-black to a transparent gradient effect, the 19.01's dial is extremely well-executed, as we have come to expect from MING, with the 19.01's movement on show through the dial side.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Matching its smoked sapphire dial, the 19.01's titanium construction features a grey color that adds a more sleek and stealthy aesthetic in keeping with its dial.

Condition
Watch is in overall near-mint condition. The steel case shows light signs of wear, with some marks visible on the backs of the lugs from strap changes. The dial and hands are like new. It is fitted with a leather strap showing some wear around the adjustment holes and a steel pin buckle with light surface scratches. Comes with pouch and extra strap.
