Launched in 2022, the new 22.01 Gilt combines the brand’s unique design language with a vintage-inspired aesthetic that takes design cues from mid-century watchmaking with its multi-layered dial that boasts gilt detailing. Featuring MING’s signature chapter ring etched on the underside of the top sapphire crystal, the dial sports a three-layer design with a metal base layer on the bottom that plays background to another sapphire overlay that houses the gilt inscriptions below the main chapter ring. An intriguing blend of modern watchmaking and early brass and gilt watches the 22.01 Gilt is an intriguing timepiece that showcases MING’s talents as a brand. Furthermore, with a titanium case with MING’s iconic pagoda-style lugs and 38mm x 10.7mm measurements, the 22.01 Gilt wears with the same joyful presence as the majority of MING’s timepieces. Powered by the cal. 330.M2, based on the Sellita SW330-2 movement, it remains a timepiece that will certainly be a reliable piece in anyone’s collection.

Using a technique that MING has used on other models, the 22.01 Gilt features two layers of sapphire crystal atop a base plate layer to create a wonderful level of depth to its display.
