In a short time since its first watches hit the market in 2017, MING has built a reputation as a small brand that makes high quality and thoughtfully designed watches in very limited quantities. This formula for success was validated in 2019, as the brand took home the GPHG award for Horological Revelation for the 17.06 Copper. In the years that have since followed, MING has become a darling of the independent watchmaking industry, with each of their carefully considered timepieces speaking to collectors’ wants and needs, much like the Bluefin 37.09 that we have here. Launched in 2024, the 37.09 was introduced as an alternative to their previous dive watch model, the H41. Swapping the H41’s traditional dive watch design, the 37.09 uses MING’s 37 series architecture to offer a more stylish and casual dive watch design. Measuring 38mm in diameter and only 12.8mm tall, the 37.09 is powered by an automati Sellita movement for MING, the cal. SW300.M1, and boasts an impressive 600m of water resistance, all which maintaining MING’s signature design aesthetic through its pagoda lugs and thin bezel, which is the result of choosing an internal bezel for the 37.09, which is rotated through the winding crown found at 4 o’clock. Sitting on a sleek blue rubber strap by Jean Rousseau Paris to match the blue dial that gave it its name, the 37.09 demonstrates the collaborative efforts required to create a timepiece of this calibre and the levels MING will go to in order to produce a top quality timepiece.

The watch is in like-new condition, showing only light signs of handling or wear. It comes complete with its original box and papers.
