Introduction

Introducing a new aesthetic to MING’s thinnest design, the 27.02 features an incredible gradient guilloche dial made from sapphire. Fading from black at its centre to a deep navy along its periphery, the guilloche pattern underneath the dial is tastefully revealed to those looking close enough. A beautifully weighted watch, the 27.02 features the same 38mm x 6.9mm dimensions as its predecessor, the 27.01, and so will feel familiar on the wrist to most MING collectors or enthusiasts given MING’s extended use of this case design. With MING's signature lug design, round case and unique dial, the 27.02 is the beautiful timepiece that packs an interesting blend of design continuity and fresh aesthetics that results in a watch that is both familiar and intriguing in equal parts.

THE DIAL
Blending its near-black to blue to transparent gradient effect with a textured underlay, the 27.02's dial is extremely well-executed, as we have come to expect from MING.
THE MOVEMENT
Created by heavily modifying an ETA cal. 7001, the resulting MING 7001.M1 movement features stunning black chrome-plated bridges and plates that pop from beneath the 27.02's sapphire crystal exhibition caseback.
