Introduction
A collaboration between two of the most popular independent watchmakers in the market, the MING x Massena 17.09 is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when two brands hash out an idea to completion. Featuring MING's distinctive case design, the 17.09's unique sense of self comes from its dial. Inspired by, and paying homage to, mid-century Rolex honeycomb dials, the 17.09 features an intricate hexagonal honeycomb guilloche pattern radiating out from the center of its dial. Surrounded by a circularly brushed ring to complement the textured pattern, the 17.09's dial is multi-faceted and striking. With MING's signature luminescent pattern and both brand's branding, this collaboration is a wonderfully balanced design whereby both brands could showcase their own strengths while simultaneously creating a watch that compliments them both at once, without overshadowing either's contribution.

THE DIAL
Produced by Massena LAB, the 17.09's dial is the star of the show with its intricate hexagonal honeycomb pattern. Inspired by the Rolex dials of old, this pattern brings a real visual depth to the dial that is quite beautiful.
THE CASE
Constructed from 316L stainless steel featuring both polished and brushed surfaces, the 17.09's case design is reminiscent of the “padellone” (meaning “little frying pan” in Italian) cases of the Rolex ref. 8171.

The overall condition of the watch is like-new and unworn. Photos of the watch have been taken with the time set at 12:00 to show that this example does not seem to be affected by the issue that some of these 17.09 watches have with misaligned hands.
