Introduction
Founded in 2006 by Ludwig Oechslin and today, owned by the Oechslin family, Ochs and Junior is a rather intriguing watchmaker based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the spiritual home of Swiss watchmaking. Perhaps one of the most unique modern brands around, Ochs and Junior creates luxurious timepieces that strips away the needless fluff to result in timepieces that achieve their desired goal in a new and unique way. Combining this with an intense design process, Ochs & Junior’s timepieces are ultimately incredibly easy to identify, even without any branding, such is the Moonphase that we have here. Made of sterling silver and featuring a patinated brass dial that has taken on a dark blue patina, the Moonphase’s construction is a beautiful marriage of natural patinas. With its rather unique display, the Moonphase features a date display that spirals along the dial’s inner periphery and a tremendously accurate moonphase indiactor that only requires one reset every 3478 years. A unique timepiece in just about every way possible, the Moonphase lives out Ochs & Junior design brief in prolific fashion.

THE DIAL
Made of patinated brass, this variant's display has taken on a unique dark shade of blue, with its moonphase indicator and unique date display combining to bring it to life.

THE CONSTRUCTION
Made of silver, the Moonphase's case, much like its brass dial, has begun to take on a beautiful patina across its surface thanks to the metal's natural oxidization process.

TIMING MACHINE READOUT
This reading was taken (crown down) with a ONEOF Accuracy Boutique Edition timing machine at time of cataloging. It is provided as a courtesy only, and shall not be construed as a warranty or guarantee of any kind. Please refer to our terms and conditions of sale for more information.
Condition
Watch is in overall excellent condition. The sterling silver case shows light surface scratches and marks, most notably on the case back, which retains well-defined stamps and hallmarks. The entire case, including the winding crown, has developed a pleasing patina, as expected of a sterling silver watch. The dial and hands remain near mint, with an industrial patinated look. It is fitted with a leather strap and a sterling silver buckle, both showing light marks and patina. Comes with box, bag, pouch, two additional straps and a hand written letter.
Our Perspective
Exceedingly rare given that the brand only produces around 50 Moonphase models a year, of which only 5 are the patinated blue brass dial variant, this timepiece signifies Ochs & Junior's dedication to creating beautiful timepieces that combine unique inspiration with unsual materials.
