Introduction
Founded in 2006 by Ludwig Oechslin and today, owned by the Oechslin family, Ochs and Junior is a rather intriguing watchmaker based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the spiritual home of Swiss watchmaking. Perhaps one of the most unique modern brands around, Ochs and Junior creates luxurious timepieces that strips away the needless fluff to result in timepieces that achieve their desired goal in a new and unique way. Combining this with an intense design process, Ochs & Junior’s timepieces are ultimately incredibly easy to identify, even without any branding, such is the Perpetual Calendar Nebra that we have here. Made of silver and featuring a heat-treated copper dial that has taken on a bright green patina, the Nebra’s construction is a beautiful marriage of natural patinas. With its rather unique display, the Nebra features a power reserve underneath its double indices at 12 o’clock, a date display that spirals along the dial’s periphery, and a month and leap year indicator in its center. A unique timepiece in just about every way possible, the Nebra lives out Ochs & Junior design brief in prolific fashion.

Condition
Watch is in near-mint condition. The sterling silver case shows some oxidation and some surface marks as you'd expect from a case made of this material. The "Nebra" dial with gold accents is in near-mint condition with wear only due to the nature of the material and showing an intentional beautiful patina.
Our Perspective
Blending an ancient source of inspiration with modern horology and a minimalist aesthetic, the Nebra is a wonderfully executed watch owing to Ochs & Junior's dedication to creating beautiful timepieces.
