Introduction
First released in 1957, the Omega Seamaster was part of Omega’s infamous “Masters” trilogy of tool watches, consisting of the Speedmaster for race car drivers, the Railmaster for railway engineers, scientists, and electricians, and the Seamaster 300 for divers. Launched in 2017for its 60th anniversary as a launch of 3557 pieces, which this example is part of, the ref. 234.10.39.20.01.001 that we have here features a design that is inspired by the original Seamaster 300. Boasting a 39mm stainless steel construction inspired by the 1957 original, this example is a heritage-inspired modern tool watch embedded in Omega’s ethos as a practical yet stylish watchmaker. Featuring a black dial with arrow hands – all of which are decked out with fauxtina – and a aluminum bezel insert, this timepiece embraces its vintage aesthetics, while championing modern horology through its automatic cal. 8806 movement.
