While their dive watches and chronographs are typically the first of Omega’s watches that come to mind, Omega’s history as a watchmaker is incredibly diverse with large ranges of dress watches offered alongside those tool watches. First launched in 2002 as an expansion of Omega’s Seamaster 120 collection, the Seamaster Aqua Terra collection was created as a means to speak to the brand’s classical DNA while appealing to the Seamaster’s rugged dive watch design. As a result, the Aqua Terra features a hybrid design that is incredibly versatile. Often cased in stainless steel, the Aqua Terra features a slightly more traditional design language with fixed smooth bezels, decorated dials and a date function. However, in a bid to speak to the Seamaster’s heritage, the Aqua Terra also features 150m of water resistance, much like the ref. 220.10.38.20.10.001 that we have here. Offered as a mid-sized Aqua-Terra variant, the ref. 220.10.38.20.10.001 features a 38mm stainless steel case and is powered by the co-axial master chronometer cal. 8802 movement, which leads to the ref. 220.10.38.20.10.001 boasting a running seconds subdial at 6 o’clock on its green dial which also harbours its date aperture. With a polished steel bezel and twisted lyre lugs, the ref. 220.10.38.20.10.001 is a watch that is classic Omega at their best.

The watch is in overall near-mint condition. The steel case has a couple of light marks from careful wear and a few light scratches from strap changes. The dial and hands are like new. It is fitted with a green and white fabric strap with a steel buckle in near-mint condition. Watch additionally comes with an additional fabric strap and original steel bracelet. The watch comes complete with boxes, pictogram card. master chronometer card, card holder, booklet, and hang tag. Please note that the watch does not have the third "guarantee" card.
