The Omega Speedmaster stands as one of the most iconic chronographs in watchmaking history. Its legacy expanded far beyond racing when it was selected by NASA and became the first watch worn on the moon during the Apollo 11 Moon Landing. The model’s reliability was further proven during the Apollo 13 mission, cementing its nickname, the “Moonwatch,” and its place in both horological and space history.

A modern expression of this heritage is the Speedmaster Canopus Gold model 310.60.42.50.02.001. This reference pairs the classic Speedmaster design with Omega’s proprietary 18k Canopus Gold, a white gold alloy enriched with platinum, rhodium, and palladium for exceptional brightness and durability. Powered by the hand-wound Calibre 3861, it retains traditional elements such as the asymmetrical case, stepped dial, and “dot over ninety” tachymeter bezel. At the same time, it elevates the watch into the realm of high luxury, blending historical authenticity with contemporary finishing. Watch is in overall near-mint condition. The white gold case shows light signs of wear to the brushed sides and case back, with a couple of small marks visible on the edge of the bezel, while the insert remains very clean. The dial and hands remain like new. It is fitted with a white gold bracelet showing very light signs of wear. The bracelet is fitted with 21 links, 7 of which are removable, and fits approximately a 7¼” wrist. Additionally, there are 3 links included. Comes complete with inner and outer boxes, warranty cards, booklets, and hangtags.
