Released in late 2019, the Oris Big Crown ProPilot X redefined the landscape in which Oris operates. Known for their accessibly priced, sensibly styled and ultimately underappreciated timepieces, the ProPilot X flips all of that on its head, creating a new market for the independent Swiss watchmaker to explore. The ProPilot X exists as a testament to what is possible when all restrictions are taken away from designers and they let their imaginations run wild. With a unique design, in just about every way possible, the ProPilot X demonstrated to the wider community how Oris sees themselves and where they want to go in the future.

Powered by the new inhouse 10 day power reserve skeleton movement, the cal. 115, the ProPilot X features several intelligent innovations. Thanks to the fact the cal. 115 was conceptualised as a skeleton movement from the get-go, the wearer can physically see just about every innovation squeezed into the movement – like the latest alloy used for a mainspring. The power reserve indicator is an important part of the ProPilot X’s design. Displaying the remaining days of power in a non-linear fashion, the ProPilot X emphasises the need to wind the watch during the course of the last 3 days, as less power means less accuracy. This sort of forward thinking and bottom-up approach is only truly available when a movement is conceptualised in-house. Housing the cal. 115 is an extremely unique-looking 44mm case. Constructed of grade 2 and grade 5 titanium, the case is actually assembled in parts around the movement, as opposed to the traditional way of putting the movement into a pre-designed case.

Watch is in new condition, with little to no signs of wear. The bracelet is fitted with 15 links, 3 of which are removable, and fits approximately a 7” wrist. Additionally, there are 4 links included. Comes complete with box and papers.
