Introduction
Arguably one of the most iconic watchmakers in the industry, Panerai are beloved by their army of passionate collectors, or ‘Paneristi’ as they are known for their larger-than-life timepieces, signature details and rich history as a military-worn dive watch manufacturer. Only coming into the public domain in the 1993, Panerai’s early timepieces are naturally cult classics due to their unyielding character and rich heritage. Offered here we have the PAM00028 from 1999, a limited edition release of 1000 pieces as Panerai further branched into the more complex with the PAM00028 featuring a power reserve indicator, a date function and a central seconds hand instead of their more traditional running seconds subdial at 9 o’clock. A large watch at 44mm in diameter, the PAM00028 is in fact rather sleek on the wrist thanks to its black DLC finish and black hobnail texture dial that blends into its construction and delivers its information in a legible and methodical manner.

Condition
Watch is in very good overall condition. Case exhibits some areas where the PVD coating has been damaged, primarily visible between the bezel and crown guard on the 3 o'clock side. Luminova dial in near-mint condition with lightly colored luminous and matching hands.
