Arguably one of the most iconic watchmakers in the industry, Panerai are beloved by their army of passionate collectors, or ‘Paneristi’ as they are known for their larger-than-life timepieces, signature details and rich history as a military-worn dive watch manufacturer. Only coming into the public domain in the 1993, Panerai’s early timepieces are naturally cult classics due to their unyielding character and rich heritage. Offered here we have the Luminor Quaranta Razer PAM1353, featuring a black dial with a running seconds subdial at 9 o’clock, a date at 3 o’clock and 12 and 6 Arabic numerals which results in a combination that has become emblematic of Panerai’s dial layouts. Presented as a limited edition model of just 500 pieces, the PAM1353 is the result of a collaboration between Panerai and Razer, the gaming company, to help conserve Manta Ray populations in the Asia-Pacific. Made of recycled steel and DLC-coated, the PAM1353’s blacked-out aesthetic serves as the perfect complement for its green accets such as along its strap stitching and running seconds hand. Measuring 40mm in diameter and ensuring a significant wrist presence through its crown lock, as the brand has been famed for since it was popularized in the 1990s, this timepiece carries a deep meaning for both brands alike.

The watch is in overall near-mint condition. The DLC-coated steel case shows a few signs of careful wear. The case back retains well-defined engravings, including the special edition engraving at the centre. The dial and hands are like new. It is fitted with a leather and textile strap and a steel pin buckle showing a couple of light scratches. Comes complete with inner and outer boxes, warranty card, booklet, case protector, and hangtag. Additionally, it is accompanied by three extra straps and a sealed Panerai pin buckle.
