Patek Philippe 5105P-001 Geneva Boutique Limited Edition Platinum

How do I bid? Start here

Introduction

Launched in 2006 to commemorate the opening of their then-new Geneva boutique, the ref. 5105PA debuted as a collection of only 100 pieces, which make it a spectacularly rare and desirable timepiece on its own. Boasting a unique design that combines facets of different Patek models like the ref. 5100 and the ref. 5500, the ref. 5105P that we have here features a 46mm long curved case that is 25mm wide with a distinctively architectural design language that embodies the very reason the watch was created. With it stepped lugs, or branchards as they are known, the ref. 5105P is suitably luxurious, with its understated silver dial creating a monochromatic that only its blackened gold hands and black inscriptions break from. A wonderfully rare watch commemorating a special event from Patek’s modern history, it is no surprise that the ref. 5105P is as sought-after as it is. Powered by a manual-wind movement that is on display behind an exhibition caseback, the ref. 5105P truly does have it all to get a Patek collector excited.

TIMING MACHINE READOUT

This reading was taken (crown down) with a ONEOF Accuracy Boutique Edition timing machine at time of cataloging. It is provided as a courtesy only, and shall not be construed as a warranty or guarantee of any kind. Please refer to our terms and conditions of sale for more information.

Condition

Watch was previously single-sealed and cut open at time of photography. While watch is new and unworn, the dial shows some discoloration in the form of a yellowing of the zapon layer of the dial around some of the indexes, particularly in the lower left quadrant as seen in the images. The plastic bag that housed the watch has a similar discoloration as seen in the image carousel. The strap has some creases in it, due to the handling of the watch when it was sealed in the plastic pouch. The watch comes with its original limited edition box, guarantee paper as well as commemorative coin.

Please Note: Due to CITES considerations, if the watch is to be shipped outside of the USA, the exotic skin strap will have to be removed.

Our Perspective

An under-the-radar limited edition offering celebrating one of Patek's most important modern events in the opening of their new Geneva boutique, the ref. 5105P is a unique Patek reference that collectors have cherished since its debut along with the other models that were launched alongside it to commemorate the new boutique.
