Introduction
Renowned for their groundbreaking innovations in watchmaking, Patek Philippe holds an indisputable position as one of the most esteemed watchmakers to ever grace the industry. Central to their array of complications is the iconic annual calendar, a balance between the complex perpetual calendar and the triple calendar. The inaugural model, the ref. 5035, debuted in 1996, marking Patek Philippe's recognition of the need for an intermediate calendar option. Offered here from within Patek’s family of annual calendars is their Annual Calendar, the ref. 4948G. Launched in 2015, the ref. 4948G comes made of 18kt white gold and features a 38mm x 11mm Calatrava-style case that comes set with 347 diamonds across its bezel, lugs, midcase and winding crown. Notable for its symmetrical dial layout in mother of pearl, the ref. 4948 features day and month apertures at 12 o’clock, a central time display, a sub-dial with moon-phase and a perfectly positioned date window at 6 o'clock. The perfect combination of opulence, watchmaking prowess and luxury craftsmanship, the Annual Calendar ref. 4948G has it all.

THE DIAL
Boasting a white Balinese mother-of-pearl dial, the ref. 4948G's display is a lesson in subtle elegance with its blackened gold applied numerals providing a nice contrast against their bright backdrop.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Sporting an 18kt white gold case that is set with 347 diamonds, a crown set with 14 diamonds and a pin buckle set with 27 diamonds, Patek left no stone unturned when it came to fitting the ref. 4948G with diamonds.

Condition
Watch is in near-mint condition. There are minor signs of wear, including small marks along the case, as well as some accumulated debris on the surfaces and crevasses of the diamond settings. Watch comes with box and papers in addition to two lightly worn Patek Philippe straps.
Please Note: Due to CITES considerations, if the watch is to be shipped outside of the USA, the exotic skin strap will have to be removed.
