Introduction
Released in 2005, the Patek Philippe Annual Calendar ref. 5146 is a modernised version of its predecessor, the ref. 5035, with an updated 39mm case design that is classical in its styling with a round shape, domed bezel, undulating lugs and polished surfaces. Standing at just 11.5mm thick with gently sloped lugs, the ref. 5146 wears comfortably as its profile hugs the wrist allowing its leather strap to comfortably drape over and close with its fold-over clasp. Perhaps the ref. 5146G’s most distinguishing feature, which is the reference we have here, is its beautiful and distinctive creme dial. Modernising the ref. 5035’s Roman numeral dial in lieu of a design that has remained in style today, this ref. 5146G features applied Arabic numerals at 3, 9 and 12 with stick indices elsewhere blending legibility with a clean aesthetic to match its otherwise clutter-free dial. Intelligently laid across its creme dial, the ref. 5146G houses two sunken subdials at 3 and 9 o’clock with the day and date displays and a subtle power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock with a moon phase display mirroring it at 6 o’clock rounding off an incredible symmetrical case design with an equally symmetrical dial layout. Powering by the automatic cal. 324 S IRM QA LU, which is proudly displayed behind its exhibition caseback, the ref. 5146G boasts Patek’s renowned finishing that tops off this wonderfully designed timepiece and serves as a reminder as to why Patek Philippe is so highly regarded as the world's premiere watchmaker.

Condition
Watch is in excellent overall condition. There is surface wear visible on the case, with fine lines visible primarily on the case sides. Dial like new with no signs of wear or aging, and the watch comes with original guarantee certificate, hang tags and boxes.
Please Note: Due to CITES considerations, if the watch is to be shipped outside of the USA, the exotic skin strap will have to be removed.
Our Perspective
The ref. 5146 was launched in 2005 and replaced Patek Philippe’s first Annual Calendar, the ref. 5035. Made two mm larger, the 39 mm ref. 5146 had a number of design modifications as Patek Philippe evolved the Annual Calendar line. The roman numerals were left in the past and Arabic 9-12-3 was added with applied baton numerals. The date remained at 6 o’clock and a novel up-down indicator was added below 12 o’clock. This finely preserved and full kit example is ready to put on your wrist.
