Introduction
Famed as the proverbial kings of the world time complication thanks to their long and storied involvement with the complication, it is no surprise that even neo-vintage examples of Patek Philippe’s World Timers are as sought-after and revered as they are. However, there exists one neo-vintage World Timer variant that is seldom seen on the market, the Patek Philippe World Time wall clock. Created by Inducta for Patek Philippe in 2000 as a means to celebrate their new Annual Calendar ref. 5110 that also launched in 2000, the resulting wall clock was used in Authorized Dealers around the world. Featuring the ref. 5110’s silver dial design with 24 cities around its periphery and a two-tone grey and navy 24-hour ring, this extremely heavy 40cm gilt brass quartz-powered wall clock is the ultimate expression of Patek Philippe’s iconic annual calendar and the design language that it powers. An extremely rare genuine example and not one of the knock-offs that you can find online, this is a must-have for any serious Patek collector, especially one with an affinity for perhaps Patek Philippe’s most important complication.

THE DISPLAY
A larger version of the ref. 5110, this wall clock features the same silver dial design with 24 cities circling a grey and navy 24-hour ring that encircles applied indices and the handset.

THE DIAL DETAIL
Keen to make this wall clock as accurate to the ref. 5110 as possible, the wall clock also includes the same guilloche pattern within the confines of its two-tone 24-hour ring.

THE MOVEMENT
Powered by a quartz movement, as is standard for these dealer wall clocks, this example is operated via the two red buttons on its lower right.
Condition
Overall excellent condition. The case shows light surface scratches and marks, while the back of the clock displays surface scratches around the hanging holes along with light wear to some of the screw heads. The dial and hands remain in near mint condition.
Our Perspective
Created only as a promotional item for use within their ADs, this wall clock is a must-have piece for any Patek Philippe collector looking to acquire something that is seldom seen on the market and that very few other collectors have managed to get their hands on.
