Introduction
Famed for their ability to create some of the world’s finest timepieces, Patek Philippe’s reputation often describes the incredible precision they exhibit in creating their movements and dials. Of course, their cases and bracelets are immaculate too but these larger surfaces are a little more forgiving. However, showcasing the same level of detail and fine craftsmanship as their movements is the case and bracelet of this ref. 4282-1. Made of 18kt yellow gold, its 28.4mm diameter case features a braided rope bezel and an equally intricate braided rope bracelet that shines in the light like none other. Of course, that isn’t where it ends with the ref. 4282-1, indeed, it features an incredible orange coral dial, made of precious coral that adds a bright pop of color and distracts from its construction in a rather considered and measured manner.

THE DIAL
Made of precious coral, this example's dial shines a bright shade of orange. Prized as a gemstone, coral is, in fact, an organic material left behind when coral polyps die. This material is then taken and used for its bright color and stunning lustre.

THE CONSTRUCTION
Featuring an intricate design, this example's 18kt yellow gold case and bracelet are recognizable by their braided rope-like construction.
