Introduction

While timepieces would be the first thing that you would expect a watchmaker to produce, some brands explore producing other items that can either accompany their timepieces or serve as gifts for VIPs. One such watchmaker is Patek Philippe whom produce a plethora of items that fit this description, one such type of item being their commemorative Limoges porcelain plates. Made in factories situated around Limoges in France, Limoges porcelain is famed for its artisanal craftsmanship, high quality and historical significance, and Patek Philippe have used it since 1997 as a means to commemorate just one of their watches from their history as a watchmaker – as detailed on the reverse of each plate. Gifted to their most important VIPs, their best dealers and their closest partners, these plates have proven to be excessively difficult to source over the years given the special place they hold in the collections of those who receive them, and so we are delighted to offer this selection of Patek Philippe Limoges porcelain plates complete with their boxes and even additional accessories.

THE DESIGNS

Boasting a map of the world, the plate from 2019 on the bottom-middle is inspired by a world-time pocket watch from 1949, while the plate next to it from 2014 celebrates Patek's 175th anniversary with an elaborate depiction of Patek Philippe's historical building viewed from Geneva's harbour with General Guisan's boats in front of it.

THE DESIGNS

Released in 2011 as a pair, these two plates both take inspiration from a pocketwatch that was produced in 1898 with a rosette design, and so the two plates boast rose designs with alternate red and blue borders.

THE TIES

Released every year, just like the plates, Patek's silk ties also boast designs inspired by timepieces from their past, or milestones from the brand's history.
