Introduction
Released in 1994 and produced until 1999, the ref. 5015 is an exceptionally rare example of a Patek Philippe Calatrava Officer's Watch. It even has the title of being the first Patek moon phase timepiece that does not feature a perpetual calendar. With 3000 units made across a selection of metals, it features an incredible 36mm 18kt case construction with its signature sapphire crystal exhibition hinged-caseback, stepped beaded bezel, and iconic scrolled lugs with a case-matching 18kt white gold buckle. Continuing the same level of intricate detail as its 18kt white gold case, the ref. 5015G features a stunning white enamel dial with black painted radial Arabic numerals, a black oxidised gold spade handset, and a railway-style minute track found along its periphery. With a running sub-seconds dial at 4 o'clock, a moon phase aperture at 7 o'clock and a semi-circular 48-hour power reserve indicator at 10 o'clock, the 5015G's asymmetrical dial layout is immediately reminiscent of the modern Nautilus ref. 5712, and all thanks to its automatic cal. 240-152 movement, which is proudly on display behind its exhibition caseback, which is protected by its hinged 18kt white gold caseback.

THE DIAL
Featuring a running sub-seconds dial at 4 o'clock, a moon phase aperture and pointer date function at 7 o'clock and a semi-circular 48-hour power reserve indicator at 10 o'clock, the 5015G's asymmetrical dial layout is immediately reminiscent of the Nautilus ref. 5712 and all of its sibling references

THE CONSTRUCTION
Boasting its stepped beaded bezel, hinged caseback and scrolled lugs, the ref. 5015G is a wonderfully charming watch on the wrist that offers a unique wearing experience.

TIMING MACHINE READOUT
This reading was taken (crown down) with a ONEOF Accuracy Boutique Edition timing machine at time of cataloging. It is provided as a courtesy only, and shall not be construed as a warranty or guarantee of any kind. Please refer to our terms and conditions of sale for more information.
Condition
Watch is in overall near-mint condition. The white gold case shows only light signs of wear to the polished sections, while the beaded bezel remains well defined with some light surface marks present. The hallmarks on the case sides remain crisp and well defined, and the half-hunter inner case back retains like-new hallmarks and engravings. The dial remains like new, with very clean hands. It is fitted with a black alligator strap and a white gold Patek buckle showing light surface marks.
Please Note: Due to CITES considerations, if the watch is to be shipped outside of the USA, the exotic skin strap will have to be removed.
Our Perspective
Still a rich part of Patek's historical offering, the ref. 5015G was discontinued in 1999, but it looks like it could have come from the middle of the century with its heritage-inspired looks and aesthetics.
