Introduction
Famed for their intensely luxurious eye for detail and unparalleled heritage within the watchmaking industry, Patek Philippe has long been at the top of the horology pyramid. While their modern plaudits come from their infamously desirable wristwatches, the brand began life creating pocket watches, much like other watchmakers that began life during the 19th century and before. As such, it is pocket watches, like the example we have here, that drew attention to Patek Philippe’s original legendary aesthetic and unwavering level of craftsmanship. Featuring an 18kt yellow gold construction, a beautiful silver sector dial with gold applied Arabic numerals and oversized feuille hands, and a wonderfully finished manual-wind movement, this early 20th century pocket watch is a stunning example of why Patek Philippe has been widely regarded as one of horology’s best watchmakers for centuries now - a reputation that they certainly have earned and will not lose any time soon.

THE DIAL
Featuring a clean silver dial with a sector design and applied Arabic numerals with large feuille hands, this example's display is wonderfully legible and carefully designed.

THE MOVEMENT
Powered by a manual-wind movement that is delightfully finished and decorated, this pocket watch's movement includes internal angles on its bevels that make it clear how much time and effort Patek put into their movements even back in the early 20th century.

TIMING MACHINE READOUT
This reading was taken (crown down) with a ONEOF Accuracy Boutique Edition timing machine at time of cataloging. It is provided as a courtesy only, and shall not be construed as a warranty or guarantee of any kind. Please refer to our terms and conditions of sale for more information.
Condition
The watch is in overall excellent condition. The yellow gold case shows light marks and scratches consistent with a vintage timepiece. Partially legible hallmarks remain on the winding stem and chain ring. The dial has some light surface marks, while the hands are very clean. The watch is accompanied by its original box and certificate. Please note that the watch ticks at time of cataloging, but timekeeping is poor and a service is recommended.
Our Perspective
Sector dials always grab me, and this pocket watch has that scientific, clean look I love. Box and papers make it even more collectable — a real piece of early 20th-century craftsmanship.
