Introduction
While the Porsche name might be best known for their incredible cars, Porsche’s design studio Porsche Design have an impressively long history in watchmaking too which goes as far back as the late 1970s when they entered into a 20-year agreement with IWC. When that agreement expired Porsche Design began to collaborate with Eterna on their timepieces. Founded on a rather understated aesthetic, Porsche Design’s offerings are rather unique, much like this Worldtimer ref. P6750 here. Made of PVD-coated titanium, its features a 45mm diameter case with openworked lugs and a prominent dual-crown system. However, most notably, it features a rather minimalist black dial, something worldtimers are not known for due to the large amount of information that is usually present on the dial. Porsche Design achieved this incredibly legible display by only showing the hours and city name of the other time zone, a feat achieved by the use of two windows at 3 and 9 o’clock. The rest of the city names and hours are hidden, which is not typically the case for worldtimers. As a result, the Porsche Design Worldtimer P6750 is fantastically sleek and flies under the radar, even when you consider its larger construction adding to its considerable wrist presence.

THE DIAL
Associated with infamously busy displays, Porsche Design decided to give their Worldtimer an uncluttered dial with only the relevant information shown through the dial apertures at 9 and 3 o'clock.
