Introduction
Designing watches the likes of which have never been seen before, Ressence’s unique approach to watchmaking has created a design language that is traceable only to them. Characteristically unconventional, to put it lightly, Ressence utilizes spherical discs displaying the hours, minutes, seconds, and days that rotate through the displays of their timepieces to create an ever-evolving appearance for their watches. Featuring a display system called the ‘Ressence Orbital Convex System’ that comprises of 27 gears and 40 jewels with painted engraved indications, the Type 1R is a true feat of craftsmanship and engineering that truly seems to have come from a sci-fi movie rather than an artisanal Swiss watchmaker. Made of titanium and featuring a ruthenium dial, this example is a beautifully monochromatic timepiece that is understated in design but stunning in execution. Wound and set via its caseback and thus lacking a winding crown, the Type 1R wears incredibly neat on the wrist and thanks to its welded-style lugs and perfectly round shape, it is a watch that wears much smaller than its 42mm diameter might have you first believe.

THE DIAL
Featuring a beautiful ruthenium dial, the Type 1R's dial displays the hours in its largest subdial, the minutes with its single hand (displaying 20 minutes in this image) and the running seconds (at 2 o'clock in this image) and the day of the week in the last remaining dial.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Made of titanium, the crown-less Type 1R is a wonderfully sleek watch on the wrist with its welded-style lugs allowing its 42mm case to fit snug on the wrist.

Watch is in near-mint condition, showing little to no signs of wear. Please note watch is currently fitted with a generic tang buckle, but the original deplyant is included with the watch.
