Introduction
Rolex has been known to produce customized dials for corporate customers up until the early 2000s, and this may just be the most famous of them all. Given to franchisees who have exceeded certain sales targets, these fun and cheerful watches have been coveted not only by Domino's franchisees, but collectors alike. The first models ever given as awards were the reference 5500 Air-Kings in the 1970s. Whilst Rolex is still the preferred choice for award watches at Domino's, the new iterations no longer feature the red, white and blue logos on the dials.

The Condition
The overall condition is exceptional. The bezel and case are very sharp and show no indication of polishing. The caseback has light hairline scratches, in particular on the glossy section. The bracelet has a few needlelike abrasions on the buckle. It exhibits no signs of stretching.
Our Perspective
A dash of kitsch, a splash of color, the Domino's Air-King is certainly a charming relic of Americana. In practically new condition, this one certainly is a stunner. There's only two ways of procuring one of these -buying one here, or selling a heck of a lot of pizzas.
