While famed for its long history as one of motorsports’ most iconic timepieces and horology’s most influential watches, the Rolex Daytona has had its fair share of exuberant references that explored new aesthetic identities over the years, much like the “Beach Daytona.” Launched in 2001 and produced until 2005, this short-lived family of four variants resided within the 116519 reference and features a yellow, blue, green, and pink variant, each mounted to a leather strap that matches the color of the dial for a playful monochromatic aesthetic. THE DIAL
Featuring a stunning rich turquoise blue dial with applied Roman numerals, this Daytona Beach variant sports perhaps the most vivid dial option across the family of four.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Tiffany blue long before it was the next big thing, this 18kt white gold Daytona's strap and dial combination couldn't be more fashionable or stylish at the moment even if it tried.

Condition
Watch is in excellent overall condition. There are signs of wear visible on the case, with scratches and marks visible on the high polish case. The bezel has similar marks on the surface, with the engravings well defined and retaining most of the black enameling. The watch was retailed in France and as such, as perfectly crisp French import hallmarks visible on the caseback, protected by clear plastic. Original (Not service) turquoise dial is in near-mint condition, with little to no signs of wear or aging. Watch comes with an 18k deployant buckle and a like-new factory Rolex lizard strap.
Please Note: Due to CITES considerations, if the watch is to be shipped outside of the USA, the exotic skin strap will have to be removed.
Our Perspective
One of the four most playful Daytona variants we'll probably ever see leave Geneva, the Beach collection is a fantastic reminder that Rolex can lighten their tone and deliver a fashionable watch that isn't hyper-focused on maintaining Rolex's renowned tool watch mandate.
