THE DIAL
The dial of this Day-Date features diamond indexes set against a rich metallic blue dial. The dark color of the dial is a lovely contrast against the gold hue of the case.
WRISTSHOT
The wristshot showcases the versatility of the classic 36mm case of the Day-Date. Virtually unchange since its inception in the 1950's, the 18238 was the first model to feature the "Double Quickset" movment, meaning both the day of the week and date can be independently adjusted with ease.

Condition
The overall condition of the watch is excellent. Original blue dial is in perfect shape with all luminous dots present. Watch has light surface abrasions throughout, mainly on the bracelet, indicating light to moderate usage. Bracelet has 22 links in total.
Our Perspective
The blue dial with diamond indexes evokes images of stars in the blue sky on a summer evening. The dark dial gives this Day-Date a much different look and feel compared to its usual chamapge dial counterparts as the watch has a much more sporty look.
