Introduction
A legendary timepiece with an unrivaled history, the Rolex Day-Date has earned its place as "The Ultimate Watch of Prestige" from its decades on the wrists of the world's most influential people. Released in 1956, the Day-Date quickly became synonymous with luxury, prestige, and exclusivity thanks to being the watch of choice for the world's athletes, visionaries, and world leaders alike. Only ever constructed of precious metals, the Day-Date's aesthetic is that of sheer elegance and grace. With its timeless style and inescapable impact on horology, the Day-Date stands as a vivid reminder of just how successful Rolex has been in realizing that very mission. This particular example features one of the Day-Date's rarest and most sought after dials; a coral dial. In the pantheon of Day-Date dial types, the coral dial stands alone as the king of the stone dials. Exceedingly difficult to produce due to the large diameter required to fit a men's watch, the dials have been long discontinued, and many of the examples that have survived unfortunately have cracks or other damage. A coral dial is rare in its own right, but this example is particularly special given it is a diamond-set "Serti' dial with a pyramid motif and was offered as part of Rolex's Crown Collection. We have never seen another example with this dial type. To satisfy even the most particular collector, this example comes with original USA papers that specify the dial type as "CORAL SERTI", as well as the original hang tag with the serial number printed on it.

THE DIAL
Easily the coral Day-Date's most striking feature is its stunning orange coral stone dial. One of the hardest Rolex stone dials to find, it has a gorgeous fiery color and unique veining that is shared with no other coral dial, thanks to it being a natural stone. Additionally, this example's diamond-set hour markers and diamond-cut pyramid finish dial elevate it even further beyond what is already a special dial.

THE CONSTRUCTION
As if its coral diamond-set dial wasnt enough, this example also boasts a diamond-set bezel and a diamond-set Presidential bracelet that combine to give this example a total sense of opulence and exuberance.

Our Perspective
The Day-Date is a special watch at the best of times, with it being Rolex's flagship model. However, some Day-Dates are more special than others, and that certainly rings true here with a diamond-encrusted construction and incredibly rare and beautiful diamond-set pyramid motif coral dial - a combination that collectors can typically only dream about seeing; until now.
