Debuting in the year 2000 alongside the birth of the current third generation of Daytona, the ref. 116509 features the Daytona’s latest movement, the automatic cal. 4130. However, since its discontinuation, it has remained as one of the most simultaneously luxurious and understated Daytona variants around. Sporting an entirely 18kt white gold construction, the ref. 116509 is a hefty timepiece indeed, but with the added weight of its mother-of-pearl dial, it is a watch whose aesthetic is entirely monochromatic, and its luxurious heft is almost entirely unrivaled. Featuring understated 0-60 minute-style applied Arabic numerals atop its mother of pearl dial, the ref. 116509’s appearance is simply out of this world. Combined with the fact that its internals are almost exactly as capable as Rolex's most modern chronograph movement, and its construction is made of the finest materials, the ref. 116509 is seriously deserving of its position as one of the best and most luxurious neo-vintage Daytona variants on the market.

Watch is in overall near-mint condition. Bezel retains the black enameling and has sharp edges and no wear or scratches. Minor wear is visible on the polished areas of the watch as well as on the bottom of the lugs. There is still the hologram sticker affixed to the caseback. Watch bracelet has little to no stretch and has 11 full links and 3 half links - 3 full links removable.
