Introduction
Released in 2020 as Rolex revitalized the entire Oyster Perpetual collection, the new OP31 ref. 277200 features the incredible new in-house Rolex cal. 2232 movement within its 31mm entirely satin-brushed stainless steel case. Featuring 55 hours of power reserve with COSC certification and Rolex's own "Superlative Chronometer" certification, this new movement has ensured that the latest Oyster Perpetuals remain accurate to within -2/+2 seconds a day and feature the same level of horological engineering as any other flagship offering from the Genevan brand. Aside from its movement, the Oyster Perpetual was also given an aesthetic overhaul in the form of a selection of new and immediately recognizable Stella dial reminiscent dial options. Ranging from turquoise blue to yellow to green to coral red and an assortment of other colors, these new vibrant dials fuelled a massive shift in public opinion for the Oyster Perpetual as it went from a relatively obscure offering to an instant hit overnight.

THE DIAL
Inspired by the famous Stella dials from the 1970s, the OP31 we have here features a stunning candy yellow dial that can evolve from a bright yellow to a near-orange depending on the light - a unique color choice for Rolex given their conservative tendencies.
THE CASE
Featuring svelte 31mm sizing, the Oyster Perpetual ref. 277200's satin-brushed case exhibits the same sport watch tendencies as the models that it forms the foundation of, like the Submariner, GMT-Master II and so many others.

Condition
Watch is in near-mint condition with very minor wear. There are small signs of wear visible on the watch, primarily on the clasp and lower part of the bracelet. Bracelet has been previously sized, but the links removed are included with the watch.
Our Perspective
The latest offerings of the Oyster Perpetual lineup come in a variety of colors, which makes these watches a lot of fun to wear. The yellow dial is a personal favorite, perhaps tied only with the Tiffany blue. These are spectacular modern watches that harken back to the Stella dials of the olden days.
