Introduction
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date was the entry level watch designed for daily use. Most often cased in stainless steel, these watches were true workhorses. Similar to the Datejust models, the OP had the same automatic movement housed in a slightly smaller 34mm size. Featuring a multitude of dial variants, there is a version that would appeal to every taste.

Condition
In general, the watch is in wonderful shape. Minimal wear and some light corrosion are visible on the surface of the band, as well as the edge of the caseback. The acrylic crystal has scratches (as shown in the images), and the original Swiss rivet band exhibits only slight wear/stretch. A few watchmaker service marks can be seen on the inside of the caseback. Service history of the watch is unknown. The watch is currently running, however we do recommend an overhaul. Please refer to the photo of the timing machine readout for specifics regarding performance.
Our Perspective
A great introductory piece for new collectors to set foot in to the world of vintage watches, this Oyster Perpetual Date proves that interesting watches may be attained at any price point.
