THE DIAL
The gilt gloss dial features the highly sought-after “3-6-9” configuration with luminous Arabic numerals and gilt printing that perfectly captures the aesthetic of Rolex sports watches from the late 1950s. Fine spider crazing across the glossy surface adds texture and character to the dial, a trait particularly appreciated by collectors of vintage gilt Rolex watches.
THE CONSTRUCTION
The 34mm Oyster case retains its classic restrained proportions and is fitted with a screw-down Rolex twin-lock crown.

Condition
Watch is in overall excellent condition. The steel case is well defined, with scratches and marks consistent with age. The gloss gilt dial is excellent, with some tarnishing visible to the applied hour markers in places and discoloration to the lume plots. The hands show some patina to the metal surfaces. There is a small chip to the crystal between 52 and 53. The watch is fitted with a Rolex Oyster rivet bracelet showing surface marks and light play between the links. The bracelet is fitted with 13 links and fits approximately a 7 3/4” wrist.
