Introduction
Released in 2012 as the first new collection in 20 years since the Yacht-Master in 1992, the Sky-Dweller introduced the most complex Rolex movement ever created to the world. Powered by the cal. 9001 movement, the Sky-Dweller features an annual calendar system (called SAROS) requiring only one adjustment a year between February and March, which displays the month by highlighting the corresponding hour marker (8 o’clock is August, 12 is December, and so on) and a GMT function within the ring in the middle of its dial. With an innovative Ring Command System, the Sky-Dweller’s rotating fluted white gold bezel is used to select which of the functions the crown will take control of. Fitted in a 42mm stainless steel case, the ref. 326934 is the most sought-after of the Sky-Dweller variants on the market today, with its steel and white gold construction ensuring it remains as popular and timeless as ever as it blends a wholly functional array of complications with an effortlessly elegant design.

THE ANNUAL CALENDAR
Unlike most annual calendar timepieces, the Sky-Dweller's hour-markers indicate the month corresponding with their position on the dial. January will be highlighted by a red box at 1 o' clock, February at 2 o'clock, March at 3 o'clock, and so on. This example's blue dial shows the month as July in the image above.

THE CONSTRUCTION
Featuring one of Rolex's largest cases, the Sky-Dweller is offered as a 42mm watch but with its polished lugs and fluted white gold bezel, it wears rather elegantly.

TIMING MACHINE READOUT
This reading was taken (crown down) with a ONEOF Accuracy Boutique Edition timing machine at time of cataloging. It is provided as a courtesy only, and shall not be construed as a warranty or guarantee of any kind. Please refer to our terms and conditions of sale for more information.
Condition
Watch is in overall excellent condition. The steel case shows surface scratches to the polished sections, while the white gold bezel remains well defined with some light surface marks present. The dial and hands remain like new. It is fitted with a solid-link Oyster bracelet showing some surface scratches to the polished centre links and clasp, with no play between the links, and factory stickers still present on the clasp blades. The bracelet is fitted with 12 links, 5 of which are removable, and fits approximately a 7¾” wrist. Comes complete with inner and outer boxes, warranty card, booklet, wallet, and two hangtags.
Our Perspective
The most complicated timepiece ever created by Rolex, the Sky-Dweller is already an icon in the contemporary watch-collecting market. Its unique dial and impressive proportions have proven to be exceedingly popular amongst collectors ever since the collection's debut in 2012.
