Introduction
Stemming from Rolex’s acceptance of the idea that some of their customers would like to own a second watch, the Rolex Cellini collection is perhaps one of the brands most widely varied collections, with round leather strapped dress watches to oval shaped pieces of distilled excellence like the ref. 4094 that we have here. Constructed from 18k white gold, this example features an intricate precious metal bracelet set upon an oval-shaped case that measures a rather svelte 30mm across. Without doubt this example’s most stand-out feature is found upon its silver dial, the green Khanjar dagger at 6 o’clock. Printed on the dial on special request by Rolex for the Sultanate of Oman, this example was likely gifted to a person of high esteem such as a diplomat, dignitary, or someone of very high level of authority. Extremely rare and never offered to the public, these co-signed dials, have become incredibly popular as watch collectors seek the rare and unusual. In addition to the super condition, the case back features the initials KR for Khimji Ramdas, the prestigious retailer in Oman.

Condition
Watch is in like new condition. The numerals have become oxidised in places. Fits up to an 8" wrist. The KR and serial numbers to the case back are incredibly crisp and easy to read without a loupe.
Our Perspective
A rare watch by most metrics, the ref. 4094 isn't a watch we see often, but examples in as fine condition as this with the Omani Royal Crest, the Khanjar and the prestigious Khimji Ramdas initials to the case back are extremely scarce indeed.
