Rolex White Gold Submariner 126619LB

How do I bid? Start here

Introduction

Debuting in 1953 and released to the public the following year, the Rolex Submariner has undoubtedly become one of the most iconic timepieces of all time, thanks to its legendary status as Rolex's flagship dive watch. Used extensively by the British Royal Navy and professional diving operations like COMEX, the Submariner set the bar for all dive watches to follow. Featuring a genuinely timeless design that has remained relatively unchanged throughout its history, this Rolex has become the archetypal sports watch. With very few large-scale aesthetic upgrades made to it over the years except for timely advancements like introducing a date function to the collection in the late '60s, and its modern cerachrom bezels, the Submariner is seen as the prototypical dive watch thanks to its consistency. As a result, the Submariner has earned its status as a legendary watch, with it today remaining as one of the most sought-after timepieces around.

Following on from where its fellow blue-themed white gold brethen left off, the Rolex Submariner ref. 126619LB was released in 2020 as the continuation of the 18k white gold Rolex Submariner ref. 116619LB that debuted in 2008. Taking inspiration from what came before it, the latest white gold Submariner featured a blue Cerachrom bezel just like its predecessor and, just as Rolex had done with the Submariner 'Hulk' to Submariner 'Starbucks,' it swapped the ref. 116619LB's previously blue dial for a toned-down black dial in keeping with its stealth-wealth appeal as a precious metal tool watch. Alongside the new blue-black color combination, the ref. 126619LB was given a movement upgrade in the form of the cal. 3235 movement and a new 41mm case with a slightly wider lug-to-lug width of 21mm and newly contoured lugs that give the watch a less bulky appearance than its white gold sibling. A classy watch on and off the wrist, the white gold Submariner packs a hefty horological punch for those in the know, given its luxurious construction and refined presence.

THE DIAL

The familiarity of the dial layout of the Submariner can be traced back to the very first reference, model 6204 released in 1954.

"COOKIE MONSTER"

Affectionately named the 'Cookie Monster' after our favorite blue monster, this generation white gold Submariner is slightly larger than the previous at 41mm, but has a more proportioned taper in the lugs and bracelet which give it a more balanced appearance on the wrist.

TIMING MACHINE READOUT

This reading was taken (crown down) with a ONEOF Accuracy Boutique Edition timing machine at time of cataloging. It is provided as a courtesy only, and shall not be construed as a warranty or guarantee of any kind. Please refer to our terms and conditions of sale for more information.

Condition

Watch is in like new/ mint condition overall. Very light hairline scratches present on the polished area of the buckle from handling. Watch appears to have never been worn. Links were sized at the time of the original sale.

Our Perspective

Affectionately called the "Cookie Monster" the 126619LB is another winner for Rolex. Still difficult to find at retailers across the world, this is a great opportunity to acquire this coveted piece at no reserve.
