Introduction
Launched in 2015, the Rolex Yacht-Master 40 is a beautiful take on what is already one of Rolex’s most luxurious sports watch collections. Introducing two firsts for the Yacht-Master collection, the ref. 116655 ditched the collection’s typically precious metal bezel and swapped it for a matte black Cerachrom bezel with the Yacht-Master’s signature raised lettering in a polished finish. In keeping with the matte black theme, the ref. 116655 also debuted Rolex’s new and innovative Oysterflex rubber strap, or bracelet as Rolex has deemed it. Seemingly just a vented black rubber strap, the Oysterflex is, in fact, a bracelet thanks to its metal core. Featuring a strip of titanium through its center, the Oysterflex comes with the comfort and style of a rubber strap, but the safety of a metal bracelet. With its Oysterlock clasp, the Oysterflex makes no compromises; indeed, neither does the ref. 116655 it is attached to with its stunning 18kt Everose gold construction and powerful automatic cal. 3135 movement.

Sporting the first Cerachrom bezel in the Yacht-Master collection, the ref. 116655's black bezel features a distinct matte finish that differentiates it from its stunning 18kt Everose gold case.
THE STRAP
Built like no other rubber strap on the market, Rolex's Oysterflex straps are technically bracelets due to the titanium strip that runs through their vented rubber sheath. This ensures the comfort of a rubber strap with the robustness of a metal bracelet.

Watch is in overall excellent condition. Edges are sharp and crisp, with minor wear evident in some edges and surfaces. The buckle has commensurate wear. Caseback retains a clear protective sticker. Comes on an oysterflex Rolex rubber strap.
