Introduction
Few chronographs have a more direct connection to military aviation than the Sinn 155. Its origins can be traced to the chronographs supplied to the West German Bundeswehr from the late 1960s, watches designed around the practical requirements of military pilots. Featuring highly legible dials, contrasting chronograph registers and bidirectional rotating bezels, these instruments prioritised functionality above all else. During the 1980s, Helmut Sinn acquired and sold decommissioned Bundeswehr chronographs under his own company's name, establishing a connection between Sinn and one of the most recognisable military chronograph designs of the period. The 155 subsequently became an important part of the brand's heritage, providing the inspiration for several modern interpretations that preserve its distinctive appearance while introducing contemporary materials and technology.
The Sinn 155 S Bright Star TEGIMENT, also known as the 155 S Revolution II, was created in collaboration with Revolution magazine and produced as a limited edition of just 300 pieces. Building upon the partners' earlier collaboration, this edition introduces an entirely black aesthetic to the familiar Bundeswehr-inspired design. Its 43mm case is manufactured from 904L stainless steel and treated using Sinn's proprietary TEGIMENT surface-hardening technology before receiving a black PVD coating. A sapphire crystal replaces the traditional acrylic, while white Super-LumiNova ensures excellent legibility against the black dial. One particularly distinctive detail is the Revolution star positioned at six o'clock, which remains discreet in daylight but becomes luminous in darkness. Powered by the automatic Sellita SW510 chronograph movement, the Bright Star combines the utilitarian character of the original military chronographs with Sinn's contemporary expertise in advanced case technology.

THE DIAL
The black dial retains the highly legible twin-register configuration associated with the original Bundeswehr chronographs. Large Arabic numerals and broad hands are treated with white Super-LumiNova, providing strong contrast against the dark background. A distinctive Revolution star at six o'clock remains black in daylight but glows when illuminated, creating a subtle signature unique to this limited edition.

THE CONSTRUCTION
The 43mm case is manufactured from 904L stainless steel and subjected to Sinn's proprietary TEGIMENT surface-hardening treatment, significantly increasing its resistance to scratches. The case, bezel, crown, pushers and screw-down case back all receive this treatment before the application of a black PVD coating. A sapphire crystal and water resistance of 100 metres complete the construction.
