Introduction
Launched in 2021 as a collaborative project between TAG Heuer and HODINKEE, the Carrera ref. CBK221D is a modern timepiece inspired by the original 1965 Heuer 3147N Dato 45. An iconic watch in its own right, the Heuer 3147N Dato 45 is notable for having a single subdial for its chronograph and a date window on what most people would consider the “wrong” side of the dial, the 9 o’clock side. In order to recreate this iconic design, TAG Heuer modified their cal. HEUER02 movement by removing its subdial at 9 o’clock and replacing it with a date disc. Limited to just 250 pieces, this modern take on one of TAG Heuer’s most iconic models is genuinely refreshing as it explores the lengths brands will go to celebrate their older designs, while bringing their modern engineering to the party, as TAG Heuer has done here with their magnificent HEUER02 caliber.

THE DIAL
Featuring its emblematic 9 o'clock date aperture, the Carrera 'Dato' even goes as far as featuring the ref. 3147N's iconic white central chronograph seconds hand.
THE MOVEMENT
The largest departure from the ref. 3147N's 1950's design is the movement within the Carrera 'Dato', the cal. HEUER02. One of TAG Heuer's most robust and competent chronograph movements, the cal. HEUER02 features 80 hours of power reserve and a stunning commemorative winding rotor.

Condition
The present watch is in like new condition still retaining original blue factory stickers on the deployant clasp. Complete with all original accessories.
