Emerging in 1986 as TAG Heuer’s bold, entry-level expression of performance, colour and youthful energy during a pivotal moment in its post-Heuer relaunch, the Formula 1 collection is built around quartz reliability and vivid racing-inspired palettes. Originally offered on colorful rubber straps and paired with equally colorful bezels, it quickly became an accessible gateway into TAG Heuer’s world of motorsport. Over the decades, the design matured into more substantial silhouettes with steel cases while retaining its core identity. However, TAG Heuer decided to bring the collection back to its roots in 2024 by relaunching it as a collaboration with KITH, and so this year TAG Heuer have taken it one step further by relaunching the collection as a full family of colorful solar-powered quartz references. While a handful remain in normal production, another selection of references were only offered during the coinciding races from the F1 season, as a way to celebrate TAG Heuer becoming F1’s official timekeeper. Offered here as the Silverstone GP limited edition variant, we have the ref. WBY1113.BA0042, which features a 38mm sandblasted stainless steel case, a matching sandblasted stainless steel bracelet and a bright british racing green bezel made from a proprietary material called TH-Polylight. Matching both the bezel with green accents and the case through its opaline silver center, the ref. WBY1113.BA0042 reflects the Formula 1’s iconic design language, with its angular case and high-legibility display give it a utilitarian, timing-first personality that still carries the spirit of the 1980s originals but translated into a contemporary, everyday tool watch.

The watch is in new condition, with the bracelet still in factory stickers. It is fitted with 23 links, 11 of which are removable, and fits approximately an 8” wrist. Comes complete with box and papers.
